Director, AI Teacher Community

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop a curriculum for an AI teaching program based on evidence-based practices and create asynchronous modules for content creators.

• Implement backward design, scientific teaching methods, inclusive teaching approaches, and universal design in curriculum development.

• Oversee the credentialing framework, which includes the structure for badges, requirements for artifacts, rubrics, and the peer review process.

• Prepare documentation for curriculum to be reviewed for external credential recognition.

• Recruit, train, and provide support for the initial cohort of facilitators.

• Create session protocols, conduct facilitator training, and establish a facilitation progression ladder.

• Manage the onboarding process for members and ensure a positive experience during their first week with Session Zero.

• Handle enrollment applications, secure research consent, and manage artifact license consent.

• Oversee community recognition and status systems.

• Develop and manage the pipeline for artifacts and the peer-review assignment workflow.

• Recruit, train, and align peer reviewers, including external faculty reviewers.

• Curate and expand the artifact library while updating its metadata schema.

• Collaborate with the VP on strategic planning and provide recommendations for scaling, narrowing, or ceasing initiatives at year-end.

• Conduct data collection to measure the initiative's five key success indicators.

• Act as a representative for the initiative in interactions with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Sales teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master's degree in education, instructional design, learning sciences, educational technology, or a related discipline.

• Eight to ten years of directly relevant professional experience.

• Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate curriculum at a programmatic scale.

• Experience in faculty or professional development, facilitating adult learners, and coaching educators.

• Proficiency in instructional design frameworks and design thinking methodologies, including ADDIE and backward design.

• Experience managing a project from inception to completion in situations where the initial plan was not established.

• Familiarity with the evidence base concerning teaching and learning practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to manage relationships effectively across various levels in a respectful and collaborative manner.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain focus in an open office setting.

• Willingness to work beyond 40 hours per week as required.
