This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the design and execution of cloud-native AWS solutions focused on identity fraud detection, risk analysis, and digital intelligence platforms.
• Ensure that solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, efficient, and aligned with the organization's objectives.
• Make architectural decisions and oversee the technical strategy for the digital intelligence and device fingerprinting sectors.
• Establish coding standards and carry out architecture evaluations.
• Mentor engineers on best technical practices.
• Design and implement RESTful services that manage high-volume, real-time data with minimal latency and maximum availability.
• Architect systems utilizing Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Apache, Kafka, as well as NoSQL and SQL databases.
• Provide technical leadership across engineering teams regarding solution design, architectural patterns, and technology selections.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, security, and strategic teams to translate fraud and risk needs into technical solutions.
• Construct event-driven, data-rich platforms that process device signals, behavioral data, fraud indicators, and risk scoring at scale.
• Architect systems that support continuous delivery, observability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Guide AI-native engineering practices and integrate AI/ML capabilities into product features.
• Encourage the adoption of AI tools to enhance development, productivity, testing, and operational effectiveness.
• Over 10 years of experience in designing cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and Lambda.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Experience in designing scalable, resilient, and cost-effective Java architectures.
• Proven experience in architecting complex, mission-critical systems that handle millions of requests.
• Ability to manage multiple engineering teams and partner dependencies effectively.
• Expertise in designing event-driven, data-heavy platforms and APIs.
• Knowledge of asynchronous processing, Kafka, database optimization, API design principles, and techniques for low-latency and high-throughput.
• Experience in leading technical strategy, setting architecture standards, and mentoring engineering teams.
• Capability to translate technical concepts and align engineering efforts with business goals.
