AI & Automation Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with the Office of the CFO and the Finance team on AI and automation projects.

• Conduct interviews and shadow employees to gain insights into recurring processes and workflows.

• Document the steps of processes, systems, data flows, handoffs, and manual tasks.

• Identify repetitive tasks, bottlenecks, duplicate efforts, and unnecessary complexities.

• Quantify the time and effort involved in various activities.

• Recognize tasks that can be eliminated, simplified, automated, or enhanced using AI.

• Investigate methods employed by other organizations and explore emerging technologies.

• Prioritize opportunities in collaboration with Finance leadership.

• Examine AI, automation, and agentic technology solutions.

• Create lightweight prototypes and proofs of concept.

• Convert workflow insights into requirements for external partners.

• Work together with internal and external partners during solution development.

• Evaluate prototypes in real-world situations and identify edge cases and unreliable outputs.

• Collect user feedback and assess improvements in manual effort, time, and process quality.

• Document the findings and propose recommended next steps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.

• Possess strong intellectual curiosity and analytical problem-solving abilities.

• Comfortable experimenting with AI tools.

• Interest in emerging technologies and their impact on work processes.

• Able to ask questions and navigate through ambiguity effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-driven and organized; capable of working independently with minimal guidance.

• Availability to commit around 15–20 hours per week during Fall 2026.

• Experience with Python, APIs, LLMs, AI agents, automation platforms, data analysis, or software development is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Prior experience in finance or accounting is not essential.
