Director – Agriculture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver market insights regarding bolt-on opportunities, competitive environment, and valuation context within your specific subsector.

• Facilitate introductions to founders, family business owners, and senior executives within your established network.

• Analyze confidential information memoranda and management presentations to assess sector-specific operational fit and risks.

• Engage in private equity sponsor presentations when your subsector expertise and operational background are pertinent.

• Offer operational due diligence perspectives on potential target companies.

• Counsel the Fireclay team on strategic positioning and messaging for sponsor engagement and sourcing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior leadership experience (VP, President, GM, COO, CEO) at an agricultural inputs manufacturer, regional dealership network, agricultural services platform, agribusiness, or private equity-backed agricultural platform.

• A minimum of fifteen years in agricultural operations with direct experience engaging with growers or producers.

• Knowledge of seasonality, working capital dynamics, and the distinctions between cooperative and independent channel structures.

• An established network of relationships with founders, family business owners, senior executives, and private equity professionals within your subsector.

• Ability to represent Fireclay in a professional manner to private equity sponsors and the management of target companies.

• Maintain discretion when dealing with confidential information and competitive intelligence.

• Willingness to operate on a flexible engagement basis without fixed hours or commitments.
