• Strategic Leadership: Formulate and implement an innovative strategy for family access that aligns with BridgeBio's goals, ensuring individuals affected by rare conditions can obtain the company's products.
• Team Leadership: Oversee a team of Family Access Managers (FAM), providing guidance, coaching, and support to maximize the team's effectiveness.
• Family Access Strategy: Supervise the creation of FAM tools and the execution of access strategies, which may require collaboration with pharmacies, health systems, and providers to enhance patient access for families.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Assess and coordinate with BridgeBio's advocacy team on advocacy meetings to attend, representing BridgeBio effectively.
• Compliance: Guarantee that all reimbursement and patient access initiatives comply with healthcare regulations and corporate compliance standards, including relevant laws and industry norms.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with healthcare providers (both prescribers and staff), payers, the Hub, and pharmacies to facilitate patient access and resolve access issues.
• Data Analysis: Employ data analysis and reporting tools to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of family access processes, identifying areas for enhancement and executing necessary modifications.
• Policy and Market Analysis: Remain informed about shifts in healthcare policy, market conditions, and healthcare trends that could influence patient access.
• Budget Management: Oversee the budget for the team of FAMs, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
• Quality Assurance: Establish quality assurance protocols to ensure every team member meets the team's standards and expectations.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, Genetics, Pharmacy, etc.). A Master’s degree or equivalent is an advantage.
• 15+ years of experience in Access and/or sales within the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare sectors, including experience with rare diseases and product launches.
• 5+ years of experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Preferred experience in Patient Services, Market Access, Reimbursement, or Patient Access Management.
• Familiarity with Specialty Pharmacy Networks and Patient Services Hubs.
• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes and regulations.
• Outstanding leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of the payer landscape, including government (Medicaid) and commercial payers.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration.
• Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and AI technologies.
• Experience in Genetics, Endocrinology, or Rare Diseases is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Compliance with HIPAA regulations, OIG guidance, Advertising and Promotion requirements, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and relevant policies, best practices, and guidelines.
• Commitment to patient-centered support and ensuring access to innovative treatments.
• Willingness to travel up to 50-60%, including occasional weekends.
