Director, Accounting and Financial Advisory Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a senior consultant to clients, offering extensive technical knowledge.

• Oversee and execute advisory projects on intricate accounting issues, such as consolidations, revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, impairments, share-based payments, and complex financial instruments.

• Provide guidance on the development of accounting policies, restatements, and the remediation of significant weaknesses.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with CFOs, Controllers, and Audit Committees.

• Promote thought leadership in new accounting matters and the evolving guidance from FASB and SEC.

• Remain informed about regulatory changes and emerging technologies affecting financial reporting.

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

• Encourage a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

• Assist in business development, proposals, and market entry strategies.

• Collaborate with tax, risk, valuation, managed services, and technology teams to provide comprehensive solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• CPA certification is mandatory.

• Over 10 years of pertinent experience in accounting advisory, Big 4, or premier consulting firms.

• Demonstrated history of leading complex projects and managing senior client relationships.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capacity to navigate uncertainty and deliver impactful solutions in dynamic environments.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and confidentiality.

• Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Ability to travel overnight when required.

• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory frameworks.

• Familiarity with SEC, FASB, IASB, and emerging technologies that influence financial reporting.
