This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +10 more states.
• Take charge of acquiring new customers, overseeing the complete sales cycle to generate new revenue while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction for accounts in community and social services, healthcare, traditional NGOs, humanitarian aid, credit unions, and various other non-profit organizations.
• Collaborate with customers to comprehend their business and technical needs, leveraging your understanding of Twilio’s communications API platform to co-create tailored solutions for their specific use cases.
• Work closely with cross-functional internal teams (Sales, Sales Development, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Support) to fulfill customer requirements, provide guidance on digital communication strategies, and assist customers in getting started with the Twilio platform.
• Create and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast utilizing our CRM, Salesforce, through proactive engagement and collaboration with your manager.
• Implement automation strategies to accommodate a large number of customers while preserving NPS and minimizing churn.
• Take ownership in advancing deals, overcoming challenges for customers, thinking creatively to find optimal solutions for each client, and recommending process enhancements to benefit the entire team.
• Cultivate expertise in the social impact and nonprofit sector to assist prospective customers in understanding how others have successfully used Twilio’s platform to expand their reach and achieve their missions.
• Exhibit outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to simplify complex technical and financial concepts.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities and handle multiple projects/deals simultaneously.
• A minimum of 1+ years of experience in closing sales or in a sales development/business development role within a technical SaaS/CPaaS environment, with a proven record of high performance.
• A foundational understanding of (or a desire to learn about) the cloud computing/communications business model and enthusiasm for selling to a technical audience through a solution-oriented sales approach.
• Experience in technical solutions selling and a passion for engaging with real customers—listening to their needs and resolving issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical and financial details.
• Proven history of managing sales forecasts effectively.
• An analytical approach to account development strategy that utilizes data to identify opportunities and demonstrate value.
• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and documentation skills.
