This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Make outbound and inbound calls to current and prospective customers to present tailored solutions and spark interest.
• Actively qualify leads generated through focused outreach, utilizing digital platforms and databases.
• Employ multimedia and interactive digital channels to clearly convey product features, advantages, and value propositions.
• Follow up with leads and customers at suitable intervals to cultivate relationships and guide them through the sales funnel until the deal is closed.
• Keep accurate records of customer interactions, including calls, emails, and social media communications, in the CRM system.
• Provide and receive technical support and product recommendations through email and phone communication.
• Offer Walter solutions for competitor products and suggest replacements and new options for obsolete items.
• Generate repeat special quotes for all Walter products.
• Collaborate with the digital marketing team to align sales efforts with ongoing digital campaigns and initiatives.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders from different teams and departments to align strategies, share customer feedback, identify opportunities for enhanced customer engagement, and ensure a smooth transition from sales to delivery.
• Utilize data analytics tools to recognize sales trends and refine sales strategies.
• Gather and relay pertinent business and market intelligence to sales management using applicable systems.
• Leverage the Walter online catalog and GPS software to provide specifications for Walter products.
• Utilize Walter costing systems for pricing development (SAP, CAPP, ENGIN, Workflow) with third-party suppliers.
• Aid in optimizing digital sales processes and propose enhancements to streamline customer interactions and boost efficiency.
• Use consultative selling techniques in customer communications, transforming inquiries into leads and ultimately sales.
• Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in relevant industries and emerging digital sales methodologies and tools.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Walter products, digital systems, and processes provided by Walter HQ.
• B2B sales experience with a strong interest in and understanding of digital sales methodologies.
• Strong technical aptitude ideally complemented by experience in the cutting tools sector.
• Must have effective communication skills to articulate technical information clearly and persuasively.
• Demonstrate initiative, customer orientation, and persistent determination to achieve outstanding results.
• Willingness to adopt new working methods and possess high learning agility.
• Problem-solving skills to address topics that require analytical and innovative thinking.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in sales within the cutting tools industry.
• Ideally reside in the Central or Eastern Time Zone.
