This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Oversee the final delivery phase of the pilot program by uploading fully edited video assets to various social media platforms in accordance with the editorial calendar.
β’ Format, convert, and optimize video exports to fulfill the specific technical requirements, aspect ratios, and file limitations of different social media channels (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
β’ Ensure a tidy and organized digital workspace by utilizing FTP protocols, cloud storage, and asset management tools for efficient file sharing among remote team members.
β’ Assist with the technical setup, monitoring, and backend management of live streaming sessions, ensuring stable broadcasts and addressing minor connectivity issues.
β’ Monitor production timelines, track pending deliverables, and coordinate schedules to keep the fast-paced remote team aligned and on track to meet daily deadlines.
β’ Provide general operational support to the Senior Producer and On-Camera Host, facilitating streamlined workflows and resolving logistical challenges as they arise.
β’ 1β3 years of experience in digital media operations, post-production coordination, social media management, or a project management support role within a fast-paced media environment.
β’ Experience in troubleshooting and operating within a remote production setup, providing support to cross-functional teams (producers, editors, and hosts) under tight breaking-news deadlines.
β’ Demonstrated experience in managing digital assets and workflows, including the formatting, conversion, and optimization of video exports (codecs, aspect ratios, file sizes) specifically for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
β’ Proficient in using cloud storage and file transfer systems (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io, or FTP protocols) to maintain organized digital workspaces for remote teams.
β’ Familiarity with the brands and businesses associated with The Shade Room.
β’ An understanding of or interest in entertainment news, celebrity culture, and the rapidly evolving digital presence of The Shade Room.
β’ Strong organizational and project management skills with a proven track record of managing digital workflows and scheduling deliverables in a dynamic media environment.
β’ Solid foundational knowledge of video file formats, codecs, resolution settings, and compression techniques optimized for social media platforms.
β’ Comfortable utilizing FTP systems, Google Drive, Dropbox, or other high-volume file transfer systems to securely transfer and archive large media files.
β’ Basic understanding of live streaming workflows and software (e.g., OBS, StreamYard, or platform-native live tools) to assist in coordinating real-time broadcasts.
β’ Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to identify technical formatting errors or scheduling conflicts prior to content going live.
β’ Excellent communication skills suited for a fast-paced, fully remote production team operating under tight breaking-news constraints.
β’ Proven project coordination skills, with experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, Trello, or Airtable) to track production pipelines, manage delivery schedules, and meet strict daily deadlines.
β’ Basic familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, CapCut) to assist with quick technical adjustments or re-exports as needed.
