This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take charge of the performance across Nabu Casa's digital platforms — including website, email, SEO, paid advertising, and social media — with defined objectives for reach, conversion, and subscriber growth.
• Strategize and implement comprehensive digital campaigns from inception to execution, ensuring alignment with product launches and commercial goals.
• Enhance our organic search visibility through effective content strategy and on-site SEO, gradually decreasing dependence on paid traffic.
• Manage email marketing for Nabu Casa Cloud subscribers, including lifecycle flows, release notifications, and re-engagement campaigns, while monitoring essential metrics.
• Oversee paid digital expenditures and return on investment across channels; manage and refine the budget diligently.
• Provide weekly reports on digital performance and present a clear perspective on upcoming priorities.
• Foster and expand Nabu Casa's engagement in the communities frequented by our users — such as Home Assistant forums, Reddit, YouTube, and related open-source and smart home environments.
• Experiment with new growth strategies — such as affiliate, referral, and influencer marketing — through structured experiments and documented insights.
• Direct experience managing digital channels — including SEO, email, paid social/search, and content — with ownership of performance metrics, not merely as a supporting role.
• Proficiency in analytics: capable of creating dashboards, interpreting funnel data, and discerning meaningful insights independently of a data team.
• Excellent copywriting skills for digital platforms — adept at communicating with a technically savvy audience without condescension.
• Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar platforms).
• High level of autonomy — able to identify priorities without external direction.
• Experience in marketing a technical, developer-oriented, or open-source product (having this experience would be advantageous).
• Knowledge of the Home Assistant ecosystem or smart home industry (this would also be beneficial).
• Experience working in a small, remote-first team where you have full ownership of a function from start to finish (this would be a plus).
• Five weeks (twenty-five days) of paid time off.
• Fourteen days of paid sick leave if your country/laws classify them as unpaid.
• Six weeks of paid and six weeks of unpaid parental leave available in the first year following birth.
• A budget for your work hardware upon joining. After three years, you may keep this equipment for personal use.
• An annual budget for smart home devices to ensure you remain current with the latest offerings in smart homes.
• An annual education budget to support your professional development and keep you ahead in your field.
• A yearly performance bonus tied to company performance.
• A 50% contribution towards your internet connection fee for your home workspace.
• One day every two weeks dedicated to working on your personal projects.
