
Digital Forensics Consultant – PST Hours

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct forensic and secure onsite and remote collections of electronically stored information (ESI) from a diverse array of data sources, which include but are not limited to computers, mobile devices, hard drives, servers, external data storage devices, cloud data sources, and other forms of digital media.
• Execute forensic data analysis to support investigations and/or legal proceedings.
• Create comprehensive written forensic analysis reports, declarations, and associated correspondence.
• Offer written and/or verbal testimony in court as required.
• Collaborate with clients and various Lighthouse business units to define new forensic projects, ascertain project requirements, suggest workflows, and formulate timing and cost estimates.
• Provide regular and timely updates on project status.
• Precisely track and document assigned data collections.
• Conduct interviews with custodians to pinpoint relevant data sources.
• Input time and expenses into the designated billing system by set deadlines.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and experience.
• Four or more years of experience in Digital Forensics consulting and client service.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts and ideas in layman’s terms for non-technical audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and robust organizational skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player across various departments within the company.
• At least one relevant certification in security or digital forensics, such as CISSP, EnCE, CCE, CFCE, MCFE, or similar.
• Experience in the forensic collection and analysis of Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android devices.
• Experience in the forensic collection and analysis of cloud and enterprise data repositories (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Google Workspace).
• Training, experience, or certifications with forensic tools such as Axiom, EnCase, Forensic Toolkit, Cellebrite (Inseyetes, UFED, Physical Analyzer, Digital Inspector, Digital Collector), Verakey/Graykey, or open-source forensic tools.
• Mastery of data collection, preservation, and chain of custody principles and practices.
• Experience working with clients and partners to plan data collection and forensic analysis projects across a wide range of physical devices, network storage, cloud storage, and email platforms.
• Understanding of project economics with the ability to work closely with forensic team leaders to provide project time and expense estimates and set suitable project expectations.
• Experience in preparing written reports and/or declarations for legal use.
• Experience providing court testimony is an advantage.
• Programming, scripting, and/or database design experience is a plus.
• Linux/UNIX experience is an asset.
