Dietitian Health Coach – 6-Month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee a client caseload utilizing our CRM and WhatsApp-integrated communication platform.

• Assist clients on their medically supervised weight loss journeys and coordinate nutritional management in accordance with their prescribed treatment and healthcare provider.

• Develop or produce personalized, motivational content for clients based on evidence-based practices.

• Conduct onboarding sessions and follow-up goal-setting calls with clients.

• Monitor client progress and modify guidance as necessary.

• Support clients through complex clinical scenarios: weight management along with hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, pre-diabetes, and diabetes.

• Uphold a high-touch, high-volume, clinically informed coaching methodology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Dietetics or a Bachelor of Dietetics (4 years of study plus 1 year of community service).

• Current registration with HPCSA as an independent practicing dietitian.

• A strong enthusiasm for health and fitness.

• Experience in medical weight loss or obesity pharmacotherapy is preferred but not essential.

• Familiarity or training in behavior change, especially in technology-mediated coaching, is preferred but not mandatory.

• Background in managing overweight, obesity, and associated chronic conditions (hypertension, cardiovascular disease, pre-diabetes, diabetes) is preferred but not required.

• Outstanding communication skills via text and video.

• Capability to work autonomously and maintain momentum without daily supervision.

• Knowledge of nutrition science and evidence-based nutrition coaching.
