Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Regional Float, Nights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.

• Execute a comprehensive range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Gather and assess data necessary for diagnosis at the request of a licensed practitioner for interpretation.

• Independently carry out or assist licensed practitioners with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Confirm correct orders, patient identification and preparation, validated clinical history, and suitable documentation.

• Implement imaging protocols, enhance technical factors, prioritize patient safety, and adhere to ALARA principles.

• Prepare and administer medications through vascular access sites as per prescriptions.

• Assess images for positioning and technical quality.

• Ensure archival storage or transfer of data and conduct post-processing when necessary.

• Educate and supervise students and other healthcare professionals.

• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.

• Carry out diagnostic radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures in radiology and other clinical settings, including operating rooms, endoscopy, and ICU.

• Adhere to job-specific responsibilities and organizational policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required).

• Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field of Study (Preferred).

• New graduates must secure ARRT-R registry within 6 months of the date of hire.

• Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete the necessary steps to advance to level 2 within 24 months.

• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience (Preferred).

• Basic Life Support Certification.

• Radiography (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Capability to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Proficiency in preparing, administering, and documenting medications and radiation exposure in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies.

• Willingness to work nights.

• Ability to commit to 40 scheduled hours weekly.
