DevSecOps Engineer – Mid Level, Clearance Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Aid in the creation, maintenance, and oversight of CI/CD pipelines

• Assist with infrastructure-as-code initiatives

• Incorporate security scanning and compliance assessments into build and deployment pipelines

• Facilitate secure cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Support Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration

• Monitor environments, logs, and alerts; provide assistance with troubleshooting and incident response

• Document configurations, processes, and security measures for audits and compliance

• Work collaboratively with development, operations, and security teams within an Agile/Scrum framework

• Acquire knowledge of federal security frameworks including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP

• Assist a federal client by embedding security practices into cloud and application development workflows

⛳️ Requirements

• Current high-level security clearance (TS) is mandatory

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or cybersecurity

• Must be a resident of the United States and perform work within the country

• US citizenship is required

• Basic understanding of CI/CD principles and DevOps methodologies

• Familiarity with at least one cloud service provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Proficient in Linux and basic scripting languages such as Bash or Python

• Exposure to DevSecOps tools like SonarQube, Snyk, Trivy, Checkov, Aqua, or Prisma Cloud

• Experience with Docker and fundamental Kubernetes concepts

• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, or other federal security regulations

• Entry-level certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Security+, or related credentials

• Experience in supporting applications within a regulated or governmental setting
