DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assist development teams in the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of web applications.

• Design, construct, deploy, and oversee CI/CD workflows and pipelines.

• Enhance the capabilities of existing CI/CD workflows and pipelines.

• Plan, create, and deploy infrastructure-as-code utilizing Terraform and Ansible.

• Employ Ansible for configuration management, server upkeep, configuration, and change tracking.

• Utilize GitLab to automate code deployments, conduct vulnerability scanning, and provision AWS infrastructure.

• Implement AI-driven coding workflows with GitLab Duo to expedite delivery, automate code reviews, and simplify debugging.

• Work alongside development teams to securely integrate and manage foundational AI models using AWS Bedrock, ensuring data privacy and compliance.

• Establish and oversee cloud security controls and policies.

• Provide support for application migration initiatives.

• Respond to incidents and alerts effectively.

• Analyze and resolve issues within development and production environments.

• Document and uphold processes, configurations, and system modifications.

• Address infrastructure and application performance bottlenecks.

• Operate within Agile environments, utilizing Jira for issue tracking and sprint management, and Confluence for technical documentation.

• Engage in scrum ceremonies and collaborate with design, development, and customer teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, particularly in AWS Cloud and DevSecOps environments.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related IT field is mandatory.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is essential.

• U.S. Citizenship is required for eligibility for Secret clearance.

• Proficient in designing, building, and deploying AWS services such as EKS, EC2, and/or Lambda.

• Experience in deploying and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code.

• Extensive familiarity with CI/CD frameworks, containerized pipelines, and orchestration using Terraform, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Ansible, Docker, and Jenkins.

• Proven experience with GitLab and/or GitHub Actions for version control, source code management, and workflow automation.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools like GitLab Duo or GitHub Copilot and cloud-based GenAI services including AWS Bedrock.

• Significant DevSecOps experience, encompassing secure builds, testing, deployment, and security checks.

• Experience with AWS Kinesis.

• Knowledge of application and system performance monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and/or Splunk.

• Familiarity with secure-by-design and zero-trust architecture.

• Experience with SonarQube.

• Background in conducting vulnerability scanning.

• Proficient with Linux and scripting tools such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Strong experience in Agile environments, particularly with Jira and Confluence.

• Understanding of security best practices and the implementation of security measures within CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with cross-functional teams.
