This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design and implement sandboxed, reproducible, permissioned, and disposable execution environments for agents.
• Develop and manage the MCP and tool-gateway layer to ensure agents access infrastructure through regulated interfaces.
• Transform CI/CD into a deterministic validation loop that allows agents to retry as needed.
• Oversee multi-cloud Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and GitOps delivery utilizing ArgoCD.
• Lead infrastructure modernization efforts across AWS and OCI cloud platforms.
• Document dependencies and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation.
• Support multiple product lines while unifying unnecessary platform disparities.
• Incorporate security and compliance as design constraints from the initial commit.
• Integrate autonomous remediation into currently human-managed operational workflows.
• Enhance deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR, and the proportion of operational tasks executed without human intervention.
• Identify repetitive tasks across operations, compliance, and support that can be automated by the platform.
• Collaborate within small, high-ownership teams with minimal distance between decision-making and deployment.
• Extensive, up-to-date production experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and a modern GitOps deployment stack.
• Experience in production ownership, including managing systems in production rather than merely handing them off post-launch.
• In-depth production knowledge in at least one cloud platform; familiarity with both AWS and OCI is a plus.
• Daily engagement with coding and operations agents like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar on actual systems.
• Ability to showcase a recent project where an agent performed most of the typing while the candidate provided oversight.
• Strong judgment regarding the appropriate use of autonomy.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation that is comprehensible to junior engineers and models.
• Experience in creating internal developer platforms, MCP servers, or agent tools that have been adopted by fellow engineers is a plus.
• Knowledge of non-human identity, secrets architecture, or policy-as-code within a regulated environment is advantageous.
• Experience in large-scale re-platforming, particularly for systems requiring continuous availability, is a plus.
• Perspectives on assessing infrastructure agents are beneficial.
• Must reside in Canada; candidates outside of Canada will not be considered.
• Fully remote work supported by essential tools and resources.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
• Health Spending Account.
• Significant equity participation / stock options.
• Paid time off, including vacation and personal days.
• Access to counselling services.
• Support for mental health.
• Additional wellness resources.
