DevOps Engineer – Secret

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create innovative software solutions and transform current monolithic systems into microservice architectures that operate within secure containers.

• Collaborate with application development teams to refactor or develop solutions utilizing DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and tools.

• Mentor and assist teams throughout the solution development process.

• Launch and maintain a microservices factory using both commercial off-the-shelf and open-source solutions.

• Lead strategy and oversee the architecture for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring across various technologies.

• Assist in the modernization of enterprise-grade, mission-critical government platforms that support defense and security goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Over 5 years of experience in Agile methodologies.

• More than 5 years of pertinent experience.

• Active Secret clearance, or IT-II security clearance/current NACLC at the time of proposal submission.

• 8570 certification, specifically Security+.

• Preferred SAFe Agile Certification or an equivalent industry-recognized certification.

• CSP certifications, such as AWS DevOps Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect.

• Experience in defining SAFe Agile methodology for large-scale clients.

• Proven experience leading DevOps methodologies.

• Experience in implementing Test Driven Development (TDD) practices.

• Expertise in driving an automated software development lifecycle toolchain.

• Experience in deploying solutions in both on-premise and cloud environments.

• Background in engineering complex technology implementations within a product-centric environment.

• Familiarity with DevOps services from infrastructure-as-a-service providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, or RackSpace/OpenStack.

• Proficiency in scripting or basic programming.

• Experience with configuration management tools such as TFS, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, or LVM.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies including LXC, Docker, Rocket, or OpenShift.
