DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as the point of escalation for issues related to Terraform, pipelines, or undocumented procedures.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure and pipeline challenges, facilitating solutions for clients or internal teams.

• Prepare Root Cause Analysis reports for major incidents.

• Develop and sustain Terraform configurations for AWS RDS/Aurora database infrastructure.

• Create and manage deployment pipelines using GitLab/Harness.

• Oversee tools for database user and schema administration.

• Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python or Go.

• Implement AWS security best practices across managed environments.

• Design and enhance incident-response tools to effectively route support inquiries.

• Maintain and refine runbooks, operational documentation, and disaster recovery protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with AWS and Terraform in a production setting.

• Experience in provisioning AWS infrastructure via CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab, GitHub, Harness, or similar tools.

• Knowledge of RDS/Aurora operations, including backup/restoration, replication, and disaster recovery at the infrastructure level.

• Strong understanding of AWS security and compliance measures.

• Experience in automating operational functions using Python or Go.

• Expertise in AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, and transit gateways.

• Capability to independently troubleshoot infrastructure and pipeline problems.

• Excellent communication skills, especially under pressure.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Docker, Vault, ProxySQL, and relational databases such as MySQL.

• Must meet requirements for obtaining a background check.
