This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
• Approach infrastructure as code by versioning, reviewing, and automating the provisioning process from start to finish.
• Develop and maintain efficient, repeatable, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Containerize services and oversee orchestration, scaling, and deployments.
• Take responsibility for cloud security, including identity management, least privilege access, secrets and key rotation, network boundaries, TLS, WAF, and threat detection triage.
• Patch and automatically deploy base images, runtimes, and dependencies.
• Strengthen the software supply chain through dependency and secret scanning, static analysis, private registries, and responsible AI usage.
• Manage logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting systems.
• Develop and test backup and disaster recovery solutions, including cross-region and cross-account restores.
• Conduct load and performance testing prior to peak traffic, utilizing results for scaling and capacity planning.
• Create golden paths, templates, self-service tools, and documentation for product teams.
• Oversee uptime monitoring, incident response, and reduce manual work through automation.
• Track cloud expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Leverage AI tools, coding agents, MCPs, and automation to enhance engineering productivity.
• Bring energy, innovative ideas, and enthusiasm to a small product engineering team.
• 2-5 years of practical experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong knowledge of AWS covering compute, networking, storage, and identity services.
• Familiarity with GCP or Azure is a plus.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Proficient with Docker and managed orchestration services such as ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes, or similar platforms.
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Good scripting skills in Python, Bash, or related languages.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
• Practical experience with observability and monitoring encompassing metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting systems.
• Experience in cloud security, including IAM, least privilege, secrets management, credential rotation, network boundaries, and OWASP fundamentals.
• Willingness to monitor uptime, respond to incidents, and automate incident prevention measures.
• Proficiency with modern AI development tools and a willingness to continue exploring new technologies.
