DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee and develop projects and hybrid infrastructure.

• Set up and manage internal services.

• Create and maintain monitoring systems.

• Establish and deploy environments.

• Lead bare-metal deployment initiatives.

• Conduct performance and integration testing.

• Enhance the existing infrastructure.

• Handle a combination of cloud and non-cloud services, mainly operating on Kubernetes.

• Collaborate within the Platform team to support software and services.

• Report directly to the DevOps Lead.

• Work together with software development and QA teams.

• Perform root cause analysis for production issues.

• Deploy, test, and oversee Kubernetes clusters.

• Build and support both local and global networks, including ACLs, firewalls, VPN tunnels, and advanced routing.

• Participate in 24/7 on-call support for disaster-related incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of continuous experience in DevOps/IT system administration.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience in deploying and managing Unix/Linux servers, specifically Debian/Ubuntu and RHEL/CentOS.

• Understanding of standard IT security practices.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining hybrid infrastructures.

• Familiarity with implementing CI/CD processes; experience with GitHub Actions is a plus.

• Proficient in configuration management tools like Ansible and SaltStack.

• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies.

• Ability to conduct root cause analysis for production errors.

• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2 requirements, and CIS benchmarks.

• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases as well as clustering.

• Expertise in cloud-based DevOps methodologies, particularly Terraform, IaC, and PaC.

• Kubernetes experience in deploying, testing, and managing clusters.

• Strong understanding of Git.

• Familiarity with log management tools.

• Good scripting abilities in Bash, Python, or similar programming languages.

• Experience in application and infrastructure monitoring within production environments.

• Understanding of software development methodologies.

• Knowledge and practical experience in advanced networking, such as local and global networks, ACLs, firewalls, VPN tunnels, and advanced routing.

• Availability for 24/7 on-call support during disaster situations.

• Experience with AWS/GCP is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 is a plus.
