DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Manage and enhance our Kubernetes-based infrastructure in close partnership with software engineers.

• Lead GitOps-driven continuous delivery utilizing ArgoCD and declarative, templated configurations via Kustomize, integrated through our CI/CD pipelines.

• Oversee Kubernetes clusters from start to finish, encompassing provisioning, scaling, access control, and optimizing both cost and performance.

• Operate and sustain self-managed Kubernetes on-premises alongside Azure-managed clusters, including the associated networking and storage infrastructure.

• Automate operational processes to ensure that our infrastructure is reproducible, scalable, and thoroughly documented.

• Implement contemporary containerization and cloud-native best practices throughout the platform.

• Diagnose and address operational challenges within Kubernetes environments.

• Clearly and accurately document your work.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in a DevOps position.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations, including pods, services, deployments, ingress, persistent volumes, and maintaining robust production clusters through upgrades, scaling, patching, and incident response.

• Familiarity with GitOps delivery using ArgoCD and declarative configuration with Kustomize, or strong equivalent experience that can be adapted swiftly.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with Azure DevOps is a plus.

• Strong background in Docker and container registries.

• Comfortable with, or eager to develop skills in, managing self-hosted and on-premises Kubernetes environments in addition to managed cloud clusters.

• Experience in Linux administration and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).

• An automation-first mindset with a tendency to resolve issues by creating scalable solutions.

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, make informed decisions, execute independently, and work collaboratively within a team.
