Development Operations, Cloud Systems Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee our cloud and server infrastructure, emphasizing Hetzner Cloud environments.

• Construct and sustain Kubernetes clusters to facilitate scalable and resilient application deployment.

• Automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows to ensure swift and dependable software delivery.

• Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for uptime and efficiency.

• Establish and uphold security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations.

• Lead and enhance our containerization strategy across all platforms.

• Work closely with development and data teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with product requirements.

• Plan and carry out regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery protocols.

• Stay updated with the latest DevOps methodologies, cloud technologies, and industry advancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Cloud Systems Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar capacity.

• Strong, hands-on experience with Hetzner Cloud, encompassing server provisioning, networking, firewall configuration, and management of dedicated and cloud instances.

• Extensive expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster setup, scaling, management, and troubleshooting in production settings.

• Solid experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Helm.

• Proficient in CI/CD tools and monitoring solutions.

• Experience with AWS is advantageous.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.

• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.

• Proficient in English; additional language skills are an asset.

• Ideally based in Naples.
