Development Miner – Scoop Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Safely operating LHD equipment and performing pre-operational circle checks before each use.

• Responsible for the setup and installation of remote mucking blocks, remote mucking stopes, remote backfilling stopes, and mucking underground ore/waste material from various underground levels while loading haulage trucks.

• Contributing to other aspects of the cycle, including trucking, loading, manual bolting for rehabilitation, and providing services.

• Engaging in support tasks such as operating and maintaining ore chutes or conveyor systems to regulate the flow of ore, as well as operating construction equipment (bulldozer, grader, or backhoe) for the construction and maintenance of underground passages and haulage routes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002, U0003, U0004, U0005, U0006, U0010, & U0012) or an equivalent provincial designation.

• Specialty module U0020 - LHD with Remote Control is mandatory.

• The following Specialty modules are considered advantageous: U0018 – Operate Mechanized Rock Bolter, U0068 A or B – Perform Trackless Haulage, U0089 – Operate Mechanized Jumbo Drill, U0091 – Operate Haul Truck.

• Previous experience with a jackleg and stoper is regarded as an asset.

• A minimum of 5 years of underground development experience is required.

• Must be dedicated to fostering a safe and efficient work environment.

• Must be willing to work at any of the underground mine sites operated by Technica.
