This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Perform prospect research and due diligence to identify, evaluate, and qualify potential philanthropic supporters.
• Assess philanthropic interests, giving history, capacity, and alignment with the organization’s objectives.
• Create prospect profiles, donor intelligence briefs, and engagement strategies.
• Compose introductory, follow-up, donor acknowledgment, and stewardship communications.
• Develop briefing materials, conduct background research, and prepare presentations, agendas, and meeting documents.
• Monitor prospect activities, engagement plans, donor interactions, commitments, and next steps using the CRM system.
• Assist in strategic fundraising priorities by ensuring coordinated planning, execution, and follow-up.
• Maintain a precise philanthropic pipeline and generate dashboards, reports, and pipeline analyses.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on philanthropic initiatives and donor engagement efforts.
• Work with Marketing and Communications to produce donor-facing materials and stewardship collateral.
• Aid in cultivation and stewardship strategies for both current and prospective donors.
• Organize high-touch donor cultivation and stewardship experiences domestically and internationally.
• Oversee event logistics, guest strategies, invitations, RSVP tracking, vendor coordination, briefing packets, event planning, and post-event follow-up.
• Facilitate intimate donor gatherings and engagement opportunities for high-net-worth individuals and philanthropic partners.
• Report directly to the Chief of Philanthropy.
• 4–7 years of experience in fundraising, philanthropy, donor relations, prospect development, advancement services, relationship management, or a similar field.
• Proven experience in conducting prospect research, due diligence, and gathering donor intelligence.
• Familiarity with managing donor or prospect information within a CRM platform such as Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Virtuous, Blackbaud, or equivalent.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in preparing executive briefings, donor communications, presentations, or reports.
• Experience coordinating meetings, events, or engagement activities for senior leaders, donors, clients, or external stakeholders.
• High level of discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential donor and organizational information.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in reporting, documentation, and follow-through.
• Preferred: experience with international fundraising or global philanthropic engagement.
• Preferred: knowledge of ultra-high-net-worth donor strategy and venture philanthropy models.
• Preferred: comfort in executive-facing, high-visibility environments.
• Preferred: experience in building dashboards, KPIs, or campaign reporting tools.
• Candidates must reside in MD, D.C., or VA.
• Full-time availability required Monday–Friday, with some flexibility and occasional evenings and weekends for scheduled events.
• Eligible for an annual incentive bonus of up to 5%.
