This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies that enhance revenue growth each year within designated communities.
• Establish and nurture connections with volunteers, donors, local enterprises, sponsors, and community collaborators.
• Collaborate with volunteer committees to organize and carry out fundraising events and initiatives.
• Partner with the Regional Director and internal teams to define territorial priorities, milestones, and success metrics.
• Recruit, support, and inspire volunteer leaders.
• Act as the primary community representative for the Foundation.
• Share resources, increase awareness, and communicate scientific advancements in an understandable manner.
• Utilize the donor database to monitor engagement, assess giving potential, facilitate outreach, and guide fundraising strategies.
• Customize approaches based on the unique strengths and requirements of each community.
• Oversee materials and resources for events and community engagement.
• Acquire a sufficient understanding of scientific concepts to articulate the Foundation’s work and its impact on individuals and families.
• Report directly to the Regional Director.
• Have no direct reports.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, community engagement, development, volunteer management, or a similar non-profit position.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets, including individual contributions, corporate sponsorships, peer-to-peer fundraising, or event-based fundraising.
• Excellent relationship-building capabilities with volunteers, donors, community partners, and local businesses.
• Experience in recruiting, supporting, and effectively collaborating with volunteer leaders, committees, or chapter-based volunteers.
• Comfortable serving as a prominent public representative within local communities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and events within a specified territory.
• Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar platforms.
• Strong and compassionate communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with internal teams in a remote setting.
• Eagerness to learn and communicate scientific or technical information at an advanced level.
• Willingness to travel regionally and work occasional evenings or weekends for events.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, Zoom, databases, and calendar management.
• Preferred experience with chapter-based or volunteer-led networks.
• Eligibility for an additional 5% annual incentive bonus.
