This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in partnership-driven initiatives alongside legal and policy staff, fostering connections between teams and community partners.
• Help plan and coordinate activities for community and stakeholder engagement.
• Organize and track national, state, and local conferences or events.
• Aid in the Quarterly Partnership Speaker Series by reaching out to speakers, preparing materials, and ensuring events run smoothly.
• Engage in weekly LAP team meetings and cross-departmental discussions.
• Review and improve the Earthjustice Partnership Toolkit.
• Develop training materials focusing on community engagement and best practices in partnerships.
• Create interactive learning sessions on environmental justice, community lawyering, and collaborative strategies.
• Conduct research and draft summaries regarding partnership trends, advocacy tactics, and connections with community-based organizations.
• Provide writing, presentation, and logistical assistance for legal and policy initiatives.
• Identify, edit, and manage content for the partnership webpage.
• Must be enrolled in law school as a 2L or 3L by spring 2027, or in a graduate studies program with a projected graduation date between May 2027 and May 2028.
• Exceptional research, writing, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Strong work ethic, initiative, and creative thinking skills.
• Capability to work collaboratively with others as well as independently.
• Genuine interest in public interest law and social justice.
• Profound commitment to enhancing partnerships and building relationships with environmental justice communities.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Availability of 15–20 hours per week for a duration of 12 weeks.
• Submission of a resume and a one-page cover letter is required.
• Proof of enrollment in an academic program is necessary.
• Must be able to commit to a 12-week period.
• Final candidates will need to provide two references.
