Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of full-stack developers primarily utilizing C#, .NET Core, and Vue.js.

• Perform code reviews and establish coding standards to uphold code quality, scalability, and security.

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners to clarify requirements, estimate efforts, and prioritize sprint deliverables.

• Manage and coordinate third-party vendors and offshore teams to ensure cohesive execution and technical consistency.

• Define and enforce development processes, encompassing branching strategy, CI/CD, and QA/testing practices.

• Oversee release management and guarantee smooth deployment across staging and production environments hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Partner with architecture and DevOps teams on performance optimization, scalability, and infrastructure within GCP.

• Encourage and advocate for the use of AI-assisted coding tools (such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, or similar platforms) to accelerate development output and boost team productivity.

• Monitor project health through KPIs such as sprint velocity, defect rates, and on-time delivery metrics.

• Cultivate a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and ongoing learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or management position.

• Strong technical proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, SQL Server, and modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js preferred).

• Experience leading or contributing to enterprise-level SaaS or marketing platforms.

• Proficient with Git, DevOps, Jira, and agile development methodologies.

• Proven capability to manage vendors or offshore teams, balancing speed with quality.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical discussions.
