This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilizes established engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to execute engineering tasks while also supporting civil, structural, and electrical design workflows on a case-by-case basis.
• Creates plans, details, and reports that are thorough, precise, and aligned with best practices in utility-scale renewable energy early-stage development engineering.
• Collaborates closely with and offers guidance to engineering technicians and design engineers.
• Interacts with clients to grasp their priorities, leveraging experience and judgment to plan and achieve project objectives while surpassing client expectations.
• Reviews designs and computations conducted by the internal design team, providing insights and implementing strategies to enhance design quality.
• Assesses development plans and specifications for feasibility, safety, and risk aspects.
• Maintains a value engineering perspective throughout the design process.
• Partners with business and engineering personnel across various markets and technical specialties.
• Engages with clients to comprehend detailed technical requirements and determine the most viable solution(s).
• Assists in marketing, sales, and business development efforts within the designated market.
• Exhibits a broad range of innovative thinking, creativity, and ownership over design processes.
• A Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or its equivalent is mandatory.
• Successful completion of Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or the capability to obtain it within 6 months of employment, is required; NCEES Council Record is preferred.
• A minimum of 4-6+ years of pertinent engineering experience, including at least 3+ years in the design of utility-scale renewables, is required.
• Experience in the development of utility-scale renewables is advantageous.
• Experience as an engineer of record or in the construction of utility-scale renewables is a benefit.
• Stormwater management and permitting experience is a plus.
• Proven proficiency and working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D are required.
• Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of PVFarm, SAM, GIS/ESRI, PVProspect, or similar industry software is advantageous.
• Established experience with Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
