This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee and maintain a comprehensive grants calendar, ensuring all submission and reporting deadlines are tracked.
• Assist the Development Manager with the research, evaluation, and preparation of grant proposals and reports directed towards foundations and corporations.
• Organize and file all documentation related to grants to guarantee institutional knowledge and readiness for audits.
• Regularly update and manage donor databases (Little Green Light, HubSpot) with precise research, notes, and communications.
• Implement a structured donor appreciation program, making sure that all donors receive timely and personalized acknowledgments.
• Direct the development and distribution of donor newsletters and other communications that highlight impact.
• Aid in mapping donor journeys and keeping donor records to foster effective long-term engagement.
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure that fundraising initiatives align with organizational objectives and product milestones.
• Prepare agendas and materials for fundraising and partnership meetings, including regular updates to tracking systems like Asana.
• Help maintain public charity profiles (e.g., Charity Navigator, Benevity) to accurately reflect current impact and financial health.
• Stay updated on trends in nonprofit fundraising and assist in incorporating best practices into development workflows.
• Strong organizational capabilities with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, multiple stakeholders, and competing deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in managing databases and administrative record-keeping.
• Experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or operational support roles.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate organizational impact into compelling content for donors.
• Proficiency in fundraising CRM tools (e.g., Little Green Light, HubSpot) and project management software (e.g., Asana).
• A genuine passion for mRelief’s mission, civic technology, and the development of innovative, equitable solutions.
