Developer Relations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Establish the editorial vision for developer content, including blogs, tutorials, sample applications, videos, and conference presentations. Then oversee the execution of these materials.

• Manage product launches and public engagements such as community highlights and success stories to ensure Restate remains a key player in relevant discussions.

• Foster and invigorate the community across platforms like Slack, Discord, and GitHub. Engage daily with developers to identify their challenges and relay this feedback to the team.

• Collaborate with the founders and engineers at Restate on documentation, tutorials, and examples.

• A technically inclined individual: while you don't need to be an engineer, you should be able to participate in design reviews, comprehend the discussions, and communicate the concepts to a broader audience.

• A genuine writer: you possess a portfolio of work that includes posts, presentations, and completed projects that are already trusted by developers in our industry.

• An instinct for marketing: you recognize the distinction between a successful launch and an unsuccessful one, and you are capable of managing the process from start to finish.

• Passionate about AI infrastructure and consistent execution. You can discuss both topics in a manner that resonates with engineers developing large-scale systems.

• Proficient in AI: you naturally utilize AI to enhance your work and understand its impact on search behaviors, ensuring Restate remains prominent for both users and agents.

• Comfortable with defining a developer-led approach rather than simply executing someone else's strategy.

• We welcome diverse backgrounds. Ideal candidates may have experience in a developer-focused organization, but we are equally interested in engineers, technical writers, or builders from AI infrastructure, backend, or distributed systems whose public contributions have established their credibility.
