Developer Productivity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Assist QVAC application teams in developing, reviewing, testing, and delivering reliable software with minimal friction.

• Concentrate on desktop and mobile applications along with their shared runtime, AI integration, and skill packages.

• Construct and maintain developer tools.

• Integrate AI agents into engineering processes.

• Enhance code quality and streamline delivery automation.

• Assess, incorporate, and uphold developer tools and AI agents, including guidance on repositories and integrations.

• Create and manage agents in CI and scheduled workflows to diagnose failures, suggest solutions, and provide actionable insights.

• Advance automated pull request evaluations by assessing finding accuracy and minimizing reviewer distractions.

• Develop scripts and checks for code quality, including metrics for complexity, function and file size, dependency cycles, and performance regressions.

• Collaborate with package owners on practical thresholds and targeted refactoring efforts.

• Enhance development environments, testing methodologies, and build and release processes.

• Prioritize enhancements with engineering teams, support adoption through comprehensive documentation and onboarding, and assess effectiveness, reliability, and operating expenses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and maintaining developer tools or engineering automation utilized by others.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.

• Practical experience with AI coding tools or agents, including integration.

• Sound judgment regarding the limitations of AI tools, output validation, and the necessity of human review.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD processes, automated testing, and systematic debugging of build, test, or integration issues.

• Strong emphasis on code quality, maintainability, useful automated checks, and behavior-preserving refactoring.

• Capability to work autonomously while collaborating with engineers.

• Excellent communication skills in English within a remote, globally distributed team.
