This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Begin with identifying the challenges faced by DevOps/developer teams rather than focusing on the product: address the most common issues, then create an effective solution and narrative before determining its format.
• Develop forkable, production-ready pipeline templates and code samples (CI, CD, GitOps, feature flags) that developers can easily clone and modify, instead of superficial demonstrations.
• Take ownership of the "zero to first pipeline run" self-service pathways for our leading products, and validate these paths by having real, unassisted users navigate through them.
• Create concise technical walkthroughs and live coding demonstrations of actual CI/CD workflows using Harness.
• Manage the example-repo strategy: ensure it serves as the authoritative, maintained source of truth.
• Ensure that every sample and tutorial remains functional as the product evolves, as outdated examples can erode trust more than having no examples at all.
• Engage with developer communities (GitHub Discussions, Discord, relevant subreddits) to understand their pain points, answer real questions first, and subsequently transform the best inquiries into content.
• Serve as the technical reviewer for content produced by other team members. If a use case or demo is inaccurate, you'll be the one to identify the issue before publication.
• Genuine, hands-on CI/CD experience: you've constructed and maintained pipelines in production, not merely utilized ones configured by others.
• Proficiency in writing YAML, scripting (Bash/Python/Go), and navigating git, containers/Kubernetes, along with common CI/CD tools (Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar), familiarity with GitOps/progressive delivery, SAST/SCA, or DORA metrics.
• Experience as a software engineer or DevOps practitioner: someone who has delivered products, not just worked within the domain.
• Ability to write clearly for fellow engineers: crafting tutorials, not just code comments.
• Comfortable on camera or microphone for brief technical content: we’ll provide delivery coaching; however, the technical expertise must already be present.
• Self-motivated: you identify gaps in self-service content and proactively create solutions without needing a detailed brief.
• Direct experience with Harness or a similar platform is preferred (Nice to have).
• An established presence in a developer community or a personal portfolio of technical content (Nice to have).
• Competitive salary
• Comprehensive healthcare benefits
• Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
• Flexible work schedule
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
• Flexible Time Off and Parental Leave
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual social and team-building events
• Monthly internet reimbursement
