Developer Advocate, Developer Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and curate top-notch technical content, including tutorials, blog posts, videos, and code samples, aimed at educating and inspiring developers.

• Actively engage with the developer community, establishing strong relationships and nurturing a dynamic ecosystem around OpenAI’s technologies.

• Serve as a dedicated advocate for developers, collecting and organizing their feedback to shape our product roadmap.

• Foster relationships with key developers and support the growth of a developer community on our platform, representing OpenAI at developer events and online forums, acting as a knowledgeable and approachable ambassador for our platform.

• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to enhance the adoption and success of OpenAI’s APIs and developer tools.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of all OpenAI's developer interfaces to ensure a smooth experience for developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in full-stack engineering, with experience in developing AI and LLMs.

• Demonstrated history of engaging with developers to ensure their success with API-based products and building developer communities.

• Profound user empathy and a clear understanding of what is necessary for a superior product experience, recognizing that the finer details are important.

• Innovative and passionate about discovering new methods to connect with and empower developers.

• Commitment to creating enjoyable developer tools along with high-quality demos and sample projects.

• Proven experience in generating documentation, how-to content, and code that aids developers in succeeding with technical products.

• Proficient in writing high-quality code, documentation, and how-to content that supports developers in achieving success with technical products.

• Ability to take ownership of problems from start to finish, and a willingness to acquire any necessary knowledge to complete tasks effectively.

• A collaborative team player, capable of working efficiently across diverse teams and disciplines.

• Capacity to operate swiftly in an environment where definitions may be ambiguous and priorities or deadlines might compete.

• Familiarity with or a strong interest in AI ethics and safety, in line with OpenAI's dedication to responsible AI development.
