Designer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design fully operational systems, selecting equipment and modeling to cater to specific client requirements.

• Conduct technical calculations, including electrical/heat loads, rigging weights, and assembly needs.

• Utilize specialized software tools to model various systems.

• Convert design information into project drawings to ensure effective communication with other trades.

• Collaborate with the internal team, including the Project Developer, Project Engineer, Sales Engineer, and Drafter.

• Compile detailed design documents, revise quotes, and create renderings.

• Produce comprehensive construction and functional drawings.

• Ensure technical accuracy from the initial concept through to the final hand-off to the Project and Field Engineering teams.

• Work alongside the Amplio project team: Project Developer, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Sales Engineer, and Drafter.

• Engage with clients to comprehend and refine technical requirements.

• Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as Architects and Engineers, to ensure AVL integration aligns with broader construction plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in designing and managing multiple large-scale AVL projects valued at over $2M.

• 3-5+ years of experience in professional audio, video, and lighting systems design.

• Proficient in industry tools such as BIM Software (Revit/Vectorworks), AutoCAD, D-Tools, SketchUp, and Excel.

• Familiarity with modeling software, including manufacturer’s speaker modeling software and Dialux.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A collaborative approach and the ability to excel in managing concurrent projects and tasks.
