This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Designs both commercial and intricate residential roofing and flooring systems, producing detailed layouts.
• Engages in discussions regarding modifications and corrections with engineers, architects, and contractors before and during the construction process.
• Presents, sells, and follows up on prospective projects.
• Prepares layouts for roof trusses and truss joists.
• Coordinates, markets, and performs follow-ups on new job opportunities.
• Conducts inspections at job sites.
• Creates comprehensive lists of required materials.
• Identifies and appends special notes to contracts.
• Addresses architectural and design inconsistencies.
• Maintains the computer system and executes routine upgrades to ensure accurate and up-to-date application.
• Provides assistance in the shipping department.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• An Associate's Degree in civil, architectural, or a design-related field is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of drafting experience in the construction or building materials industry is essential.
• Strong technical writing skills are necessary.
• Specialized knowledge in reading and interpreting blueprints within an architectural context is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, AUTO CAD, and other design software, with the ability to quickly learn in-house programs.
• Adhere to all policies and standards.
• Comply with the Company’s commitment to maintaining workplace safety.
• Engage in and complete assigned training programs.
