Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Creates designs for commercial and intricate residential roof and floor systems while generating layouts.

• Engages in discussions regarding modifications and corrections with engineers, architects, and contractors both before and during the construction phase.

• Markets, presents, and conducts follow-ups on new projects.

• Prepares layouts for roof trusses and truss joists.

• Coordinates, markets, and performs follow-up tasks for new projects.

• Conducts inspections at job sites.

• Generates materials lists.

• Identifies special notes to be included in contracts.

• Addresses and resolves architectural and design inconsistencies.

• Maintains the computer system and conducts routine updates to ensure the application is accurate and current.

• Provides assistance in the shipping department.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's Degree in a civil, architectural, or design-related field is required.

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of drafting experience in the construction or building materials industry is required.

• Strong technical writing abilities are essential.

• Specialized knowledge in reading and interpreting blueprints within an architectural context is required.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office products, AUTO CAD, and other design software, with the ability to easily learn in-house programs.
