Design Technologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the architecture, strategy, design, engineering, and ongoing development of Elation’s design system.

• Spearhead an AI-agent-first reengineering of the design system, establishing composition rules and component guidelines for an agent to identify and utilize.

• Contribute to defining Elation’s AI-native experience through component design, pattern creation, and a well-informed perspective that influences how design and engineering collaborate.

• Play a key role in shaping the design direction and visual language of our applications.

• Conduct in-depth research to thoroughly understand our users — their challenges, workflows, and tasks — to develop exceptional tools for their work.

• Assist your colleagues in design and engineering in utilizing these systems effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in creating and delivering complex, web-based products within a cross-functional team as a designer, engineer, or in a related capacity.

• At least 2 years of experience leading cross-functional projects or initiatives, with a demonstrated ability to drive strategy and execution.

• A truly versatile practitioner with strong skills in both design craftsmanship and development using modern frontend frameworks.

• In-depth knowledge of design systems.

• Experience in health tech or other industries with stringent compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with AI-native work practices and experience using agentic tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
