This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Lead feasibility assessments for RWD versus FWD configurations, focusing on axle durability, shaft angles, and packaging limitations.
• Create comprehensive designs for rear axles, half-shafts, and driveline components.
• Collaborate with chassis, thermal, and battery teams to ensure effective integration.
• Develop decision-support resources, such as trade-off matrices and risk assessments, for leadership evaluations.
• Record assumptions, interfaces, and dependencies to assist engineering decision-making.
• Assist in the prototyping and testing of RWD concepts.
• 3–7 years of experience in driveline, axle, or vehicle architecture design (automotive/EV preferred).
• Proficiency in CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE, essential for 3D modeling and assembly.
• Familiarity with driveline simulation tools like AVL Cruise and CarSim.
• Experience in durability analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex engineering trade-offs.
• Proficient in English, including technical writing and presentation capabilities.
• Willingness to relocate to the USA; visa support is available.
• Capability to lead small teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage project timelines.
• Nice-to-have: experience with EV skateboard architectures or modular driveline systems.
• Nice-to-have: understanding of NVH considerations in driveline design.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with FMEA.
