Design Front-Suspension Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create both conceptual and detailed designs for front suspension systems, encompassing subframe and wheel-end components.

• Conduct package studies to verify compatibility with steering, driveline, and chassis interfaces.

• Assess trade-offs among carryover, modified, and new designs, concentrating on cost, mass, durability, and serviceability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (chassis, driveline, thermal) to ensure designs meet vehicle-level requirements.

• Record assumptions, risks, and interfaces to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Lead design reviews and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in suspension/chassis design within the automotive or EV industry.

• Proficiency in CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE, essential for surface, assembly, and drafting tasks.

• Background in durability analysis, ride & handling, and torque steer mitigation.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

• Proficient in English for effective technical communication with global teams.

• Willingness to relocate to the USA; visa/work permit support will be provided if necessary.

• Basic management skills, including the ability to mentor junior engineers, coordinate tasks, and manage small projects.

• Preferred: experience with EV architectures or electrified driveline systems.

• Preferred: knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

• Preferred: familiarity with ANSYS, ADAMS, MATLAB/Simulink.
