This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
β’ Oversee all projects of varying complexity levels
β’ Ensure designs comply with structural code standards, manufacturing requirements, and client expectations
β’ Exhibit expertise in all methodologies related to metal building system design
β’ Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Engineering Manager
β’ Collaborate directly with clients to create optimized building solutions
β’ Design and supervise projects that involve high-complexity metal building systems
β’ Provide professional oversight and take responsibility for projects requiring a signature and seal
β’ Adhere to project timelines while managing changing priorities and modifications
β’ Utilize sound engineering judgment to ensure public safety
β’ Actively mentor and train junior and mid-level engineers
β’ Identify opportunities for design enhancements and cost savings through innovative engineering approaches
β’ Design Engineer IV, with preference for Licensed Professional Engineer status in multiple states
β’ Demonstrated capability to design medium to high complexity metal buildings
β’ Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related discipline)
β’ At least 10 years of pertinent experience in metal building design or structural engineering
β’ Proficient in structural design and modeling software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, AutoCAD, or similar)
β’ Design Engineer V, with Licensed Professional Engineer status in multiple states, capable of providing sealed design documents as required
β’ Proven ability to design metal buildings of medium to high complexity
β’ Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in metal building design or structural engineering
β’ Strong proficiency in structural design and modeling software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, Tekla, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
