Design Engineer II – PV Solar, Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop sheet sets and execute design tasks across various engineering disciplines to support renewable energy and substation initiatives.

• Gain and implement knowledge of renewable energy system configurations and components including modules, racking, inverters, and Balance of Systems (BOS).

• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, trade regulations, and jurisdictional safety guidelines.

• Efficiently manage time across several projects.

• Liaise with clients and project managers to align with their expectations.

• Operate under the supervision of more experienced personnel.

• Engage in or lead smaller projects or segments of larger projects to prepare drawings and engineering documentation.

• Participate in project meetings and present specific elements of engineering tasks.

• Use collaborative judgment to make adjustments in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments.

• Carry out essential responsibilities including meeting deliverables and deadlines.

• Undertake additional assignments as directed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Over 2 years of experience in design and drafting using AutoCAD.

• More than 2 years of experience in solar PV systems or energy storage system design.

• Experience in commercial or utility-scale projects is preferred.

• A strong enthusiasm for multi-disciplinary design, integrating considerations from civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering fields.

• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to be both innovative and analytical.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective time management skills – capable of handling multiple projects concurrently with minimal oversight, including prioritization, organization, and planning to meet all deadlines.
