
Design and Construction Coordination Support – Document Control

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Facilitate coordination among Civil Infrastructure Engineering, design, and construction management teams across various construction packages.
• Oversee and monitor the evaluation of RFIs, NCRs, QMDPs, Bridge Quality Assessment Reports, and Design Variance Requests.
• Act as the main contact person at construction sites.
• Lead meetings for submittal reviews and ensure project documentation is well-organized.
• Implement a systematic document control process for archiving records.
• Assess engineering submittals, comments, and responses for thoroughness and adherence to high-speed rail standards.
• Take part in engineering, over-the-shoulder, draft DVR, and issue resolution meetings.
• Represent the Engineering team in discussions and provide support to functional branches.
• Offer project status updates and keep tracker logs for weekly and monthly reporting.
• Create and sustain an organized document control system.
• Coordinate technical submittals and reviews among Engineering, Construction Services, and PCM Engineering personnel.
• Enhance communication and relay Engineering processes and policies.
• Assist with bulletins, memoranda, policies, and procedures.
• BA/BS degree along with 4 years of relevant experience, or a proven equivalence of experience and/or education.
• Strong background in project and/or construction management.
• Experience in the construction and engineering sectors.
• Preference for experience in Design Build, Rail, Transit, and Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 5+ years of civil experience is preferred.
• Capability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and reach valid conclusions.
• Degree in construction management, engineering, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with design-build transportation projects, particularly structures.
• Ability to comprehend structural and/or civil engineering design and construction.
• Understanding of construction-related contracts and the design-build context.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Capability to work remotely and communicate through telephone, email, and virtual tools.
