Desarrollador Backend, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain robust and scalable backend architectures using Java and Spring Boot

• Develop and implement RESTful APIs and web services with Spring Web

• Design, model, and optimize relational and non-relational databases

• Implement microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud

• Apply security measures and data protection using Spring Security

• Implement automated testing strategies with JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Boot Test

• Enhance code quality through reviews, Clean Code practices, and SOLID principles

• Participate in technical planning and estimation for agile projects

• Collaborate with frontend teams

• Research and propose new Java/Spring technologies

• Apply DevOps practices, CI/CD, containers, and cloud deployment

• Document systems, APIs, and processes using OpenAPI/Swagger

• Make technical decisions regarding architecture and patterns

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of backend development experience with Java

• Proven projects with microservices architectures

• Advanced proficiency in Java LTS, preferably Java 17 or higher

• Solid experience with Spring Boot, Spring Web, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, and Spring Batch

• Advanced knowledge of Hexagonal patterns, CQRS, and Layered Architecture

• Application of Clean Code and SOLID principles

• Proficiency in Maven and/or Gradle

• Version control with Git in CI/CD workflows

• Design and optimization of relational databases with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle and Hibernate/JPA

• Modeling and integrating non-relational databases with MongoDB and Redis

• Handling asynchronous messaging with Apache Kafka and Spring Boot

• Knowledge of consistency, transactional behavior, and performance in distributed systems

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience deploying and operating Java applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Knowledge of managed services such as ECS, EKS, or App Service

• Understanding of web security with Spring Security

• Implementation of OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC

• Good practices for data protection, input validation, secret management, and least privilege

• Ability to solve problems in high-complexity Java systems

• Desirable experience with GitHub Copilot
