This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Serve as the primary liaison for all commercial and coordination efforts between the client and internal departments (Engineering, Production, Quality).
• Establish and nurture lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at the OEM level.
• Create and implement strategic account plans to guarantee high customer satisfaction and long-term account retention.
• Identify and explore new business prospects within current accounts, as well as onboard new OEM clients.
• Oversee the entire Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, from lead generation and inquiries to submission, follow-up, and purchase order conversion.
• Propel growth in Share of Business (SOB) across essential components, including Powertrain, Engine, Chassis, and Electric Vehicle-related products.
• Conduct price negotiations, manage contract renewals, and initiate margin improvement efforts.
• Collaborate effectively with internal R&D and manufacturing facilities to ensure the successful launch of new projects and adherence to SOP (Start of Production) timelines.
• Analyze industry trends, competitor actions, and customer product roadmaps, providing strategic insights and feedback to management.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory; an MBA in Marketing is advantageous.
• Generally, 8-12 years of experience in automotive component sales or OEM account management is expected.
• Exceptional commercial and negotiation capabilities.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and SAP.
• Strong technical understanding of automotive systems, which includes transmissions, sensors, engines, chassis, and components related to EVs.
