Deputy Director, GMCB Data Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Provide support for the strategic direction, management, and enhancement of GMCB's data and analytics initiatives.

• Assist the Director in overseeing, planning, and executing strategic, programmatic, and organizational transformation initiatives.

• Supervise data governance and ensure the availability of high-quality, accessible health system data.

• Manage the collection, storage, processing, analysis, and reporting of essential health system data.

• Oversee extensive health system data-related processes, systems, assets, and changes impacting GMCB and other state agencies.

• Aid in the development and execution of GMCB's comprehensive portfolio of data operations, practices, and systems.

• Collaborate with the Agency of Digital Services.

• Support the creation of long-term plans and programs that align with GMCB's objectives and federal and state mandates.

• Develop program and project budgets, track expenses, and facilitate resource allocation as directed by the Director.

• Directly supervise a segment of the data staff and indirectly oversee other program personnel.

• Coordinate and collaborate with GMCB and other program leaders, business offices, the State Enterprise Project Management Office, program managers, and IT leaders, managers, and staff.

• Contribute to fostering a data-driven culture that guides regulatory and policy decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in social science, business or public administration, computer science, or a related field AND four (4) or more years of experience in data project management, reporting, and analysis, which includes two (2) or more years of supervisory experience.

• OR eight (8) or more years of experience in data-related project management, reporting, and analysis, which includes two (2) or more years of supervisory experience.

• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver work products within program deadlines.

• Experience as a people leader within a health system-focused organization.

• Familiarity with Agile environments.

• Ability to manage various types of problems simultaneously.

• Experience in health system technology.

• Some travel may be necessary; access to private transportation is required.

• Anticipate the need to work outside of regular business hours.
