This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Confirm patient insurance eligibility and benefits, carry out pre-authorizations, and guarantee precise insurance documentation.
• Aid patients in comprehending their insurance coverage, treatment estimates, and anticipated out-of-pocket expenses for different treatment options.
• Facilitate billing-related processes, keep organized records, and assist with administrative duties to promote smooth daily operations.
• Provide front desk and receptionist support as necessary.
• Professionally manage incoming and outgoing patient calls.
• Offer patient scheduling and appointment assistance.
• Handle email and phone call management, including follow-ups on voicemails.
• Distribute X-ray results and other patient communications.
• Assist with backup scheduling and patient coordination.
• Ensure a consistently positive, professional, and patient-focused experience.
• Experience Requirements
• - Medical education or degree: Not required
• - Prior experience as a Virtual Assistant: Preferred but not mandatory
• - Medical license (doctor, nurse, PT, etc.): Not required
• Preferred Qualifications
• - Experience in the dental industry is highly desirable
• - Expertise in insurance verification and billing
• - Familiarity with insurance plans and calculations of out-of-pocket costs preferred
• - Knowledge of the Open Dental practice management system preferred, or the ability to learn quickly during the clinic's transition from Egosap
• - Excellent phone communication skills
• - Experience in patient-facing customer service
• - Capability to efficiently manage multiple insurance-related inquiries
• - Professional demeanor and outstanding interpersonal skills for patient interactions
• Basic requirements
• - Proficiency in clear spoken and written English is essential
• - Relevant work experience is required
• - Must be able to provide an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory]
• - Must be available for video meetings with the camera on when necessary
