This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain statistical demand forecasting models utilizing historical sales data, market insights, and business assumptions.

• Evaluate sales trends, customer demand behaviors, seasonality, and market fluctuations to produce precise demand forecasts.

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams to synchronize demand plans with business goals.

• Oversee the monthly Demand Review process as part of the SIOP cycle.

• Assess actual sales performance against projected demand, conduct root cause analyses for forecast discrepancies, and propose enhancements.

• Recognize supply-demand mismatches, inventory risks, capacity limitations, and material shortages, and suggest strategies for mitigation.

• Prepare monthly demand plans, inventory forecasts, and executive summaries.

• Coordinate with Supply Planning and Procurement to optimize inventory levels while reducing stockouts and excess inventory.

• Lead cross-functional SIOP meetings by sharing demand insights, forecast assumptions, key risks, and suggested actions.

• Promote ongoing improvements in demand planning processes, forecasting techniques, and planning systems.

• Ensure data accuracy within ERP, forecasting, and planning systems, including precise master data and planning parameters.

• Conduct safety stock assessments to establish optimal inventory buffers.

• Execute ABC inventory analysis to categorize products based on sales value, consumption, and inventory levels.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, SIOP/S&OP, Forecasting, or Inventory Planning within a manufacturing context.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, Pivot Tables, and Power Pivot.

• Familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI.

• Strong comprehension of inventory management, production planning, procurement, and comprehensive supply chain processes.

• Capability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.

• MBA is preferred.
