Delivery Manager – Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of data-driven initiatives within Databricks environments.

• Advocate for Agile and Lean methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and the principles of Inspect & Adapt.

• Manage dependencies, risks, and issues across teams to ensure consistent delivery progress.

• Maintain appropriate governance, quality management, and ensure value for investment.

• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, providing clear reporting and managing expectations.

• Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Data Engineers, QA, Business Analysts, Architecture, Platform teams, and external suppliers.

• Guide teams through various phases of the delivery lifecycle and assist in process optimization.

• Contribute to the Delivery Management Community of Practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Agile delivery.

• Proven track record of managing multiple data projects, including those involving Databricks or similar data platforms.

• Experience in delivering data or digital products within cross-functional teams.

• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience overseeing budgets, suppliers, risks, and dependencies.

• Strong skills in planning, prioritization, and problem-solving.

• Demonstrated capability to lead and foster high-performing teams.

• Experience within the UK public sector or familiarity with government digital standards.

• Knowledge of government digital standards (GDS).

• Exposure to data platforms, analytics environments, or data architecture.

• Familiarity with User-Centered Design (UCD), DevOps, or cloud/infrastructure teams.
