Decision Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Developing and sustaining the rules and logic that guide our automated customer decision-making processes.

• Collaborating with our Data Science, Credit, and Business Operations teams to identify requirements and implement changes on the platform.

• Assisting in monitoring the performance of our decision-making processes and flagging any anomalies.

• Investigating and resolving issues when decisions do not function as expected.

• Contributing to enhancements in our workflows based on data insights and personal observations.

• Working alongside broader engineering and IT teams on data-centric projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Some experience with decision engines or rules-based platforms, preferably in the financial services or fintech sectors (familiarity with tools like GDS Link, Experian PowerCurve, or Provenir is advantageous but not mandatory).

• Comfort with data handling; experience in SQL is beneficial, and some exposure to Python would be a plus.

• A systematic approach to problem-solving, coupled with strong attention to detail.

• A curious mindset and a readiness to learn new tools and technologies.

• Strong communication skills — the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals, with support from us to enhance this skill.
