DBS Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Reporting to the Regional Marketing Manager EMEA - Functional Neurosurgery, you will assist in the marketing, sales, and adoption of Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery solutions in close partnership with Brainlab and affiliated teams, delivering exceptional clinical and technical support while striving for advanced clinical workflow implementation.

• Serve as an expert on the Brainlab Functional Neurosurgery Portfolio, acquiring extensive scientific knowledge in deep brain stimulation, epilepsy management, and associated clinical workflows.

• Lead demonstrations of the Brainlab Functional Neurosurgery software and platform portfolio.

• Provide on-site consulting, advice, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel by assessing options and resolving issues before and during surgery, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

• Educate and train physicians and hospital staff, including OR teams, Radiology, Biomedical, and Information Technology personnel, on the use of Brainlab products and services related to Functional Neurosurgery.

• Collaborate with the regional support team to develop and implement training programs for hospital staff, empowering them to conduct in-house training on the assigned products.

• Create and deliver training programs for local teams.

• Stay updated on developments in Brainlab and competing Image Guided Surgery (IGS) products and services within the Functional Neurosurgery sector through continuous training and market research.

• Provide ongoing feedback to the Functional Neurosurgery Product Management team regarding clinical and quality enhancements for Brainlab solutions.

• Work closely with Brainlab Area Account Managers (AAMs) to formulate local strategies that maximize the adoption of Functional Neurosurgery software and platform solutions.

• Collaborate with partner companies on regional strategies pertaining to the DBS portfolio and the introduction of cutting-edge image-guided workflows.

• Support the launch of Image Guided DBS.

• Cultivate relationships with clinical stakeholders, maintaining communication, assessing satisfaction, and monitoring product usage levels.

• Identify and develop clinical marketing initiatives, and drive them forward once approved.

• Actively participate in the execution of the regional marketing plan, implementing region-specific initiatives and programs.

• Contribute to the maintenance of market transparency in Functional Neurosurgery.

• Attend meetings and trade shows to showcase and promote Functional Neurosurgery products and services.

• Travel requirements: up to 75%

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a comparable medical degree.

• A background in Neuroscience is an advantage.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical technology or medical devices.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen to physician and customer needs while effectively managing field dynamics.

• Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills across various settings, from external customers to representatives of partner companies.

• Capability to comprehend highly technical product solutions and a passion for articulating their value in a clear value proposition.

• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and a proven ability to make independent decisions.

• Ability to thrive in both team-oriented and individual work environments, with minimal supervision in the face of changing priorities and tight deadlines.

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
